General Schedule

Specific schedule on the 16th: Have the students go immediately into the inquiry activity so they don't get sick of hearing people

  • ~10-15 min. information on inquiry learning
  • starters- 3 stations, 10 minutes/station, question strips
  1. coupled pendulum

  • lunch break (until 1:30-ish)
  • advising sessions?
  • Gallery walk (~20 min.)
  • ~2.5 hours for inquiry
  *30 minutes after start students should have refined question
  *snack break/pair share (5 minutes)
  *4:30-4:45ish end day with Thinking tool
  *written eval (mid-point for HW)

on the 17th:

  • ~1-1.5 hour to wrap things up, conclude investigation
  • poster making ~30 minutes
  • talk 5 minutes + questions 3 minutes= 8 minutes total (1-1.5 hours for talks)
  • Synthesis: 20-30 minutes
  • final evaluation

Mock Inquiry

  • 8/20, each us rally 3 other graduate students/people
  • 2-5ish with dinner afterwards as a bribe
